Consultations for Spelling Families

If you’d like to consult with a qualified advocate who specializes in accommodating the unique needs of spellers in educational settings, we offer the following options:

  • Complimentary

    A free 30 minute , no-obligation consult conducted by phone. Choose this option if you are seeking introductory information about accommodating a speller in school settings or in standardized testing. We’ll discuss the typical barriers and options you are likely to face, and identify some next steps. One complimentary consultation is available per family, please contact us prior to scheduling if you would like to discuss more than one student, since that may require more time.

  • Standard

    A 60 minute video consultation, suitable for families who have focused questions and concerns. Choose this option if you already understand the special education process and the issues you currently face. We’ll spend the time discussing strategies and best practices tailored to your situation. Afterwards, you will be sent written recommendations and resources specific to what we discussed as well as a recording of our conversation. Please review the terms and conditions shown below prior to scheduling.

    $150 / 60 minutes

    Expert

    A 90 minute video consultation, suitable for families who are new to special education or who face more complex issues. Choose this option if you are overwhelmed by the process, are uncertain about your questions, or don’t know where to begin. We’ll spend the time framing out key issues, and you can ask anything you’d like to help you become a more informed advocate for your student. Afterwards, you will receive wrltten recommendations and resources specific to what we discussed as well as a recording of our conversation. Please review the Terms and Conditions below prior to scheduling.

    $200 / 90 minutes

  • We do not offer legal advice.

  • Payment in full is required before a 60- or 90-minute consultation takes place. More information about submitting payment is provided at the time of booking.

  • We understand that scheduling changes happen. Refunds will be given if you cancel more than 24 hours’ prior to your appointment. If cancellation is less than 24 hours’ in advance, your fee is non-refundable but may be applied when rescheduling.

  • We abide by the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates’ (COPAA) Code of Ethics for Advocates.

  • We are happy to answer some follow-up questions via email, but detailed or extensive responses will require another consultation appointment.
